Lizuarte De Sousa is a highly experienced clinician and a private instructor who has been teaching for over 18 years. Using an individualistic approach, he successfully prepares student for College/University auditions and Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams.

Lizuarte is a former member and conductor of the Oakville Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed and recorded with several bands in the GTA in a variety of styles such as Classical, Pop and Jazz. He currently performs with the Loretta Hale Big Band and as a freelance musician.

Lizuarte is a graduate of the Humber College Music Program. He has studied under the tutelage of Pat LaBarbera, Buddy Aquilina, and Vic Bland. He is currently finishing his undergrad at McMaster University where he continues to expand his musical knowledge under the guidance of Willem Moolenbeek.
